Residential real estate in Oklahoma City

Residential property is real estate that’s designed as a place to live. Although there are many different types and sizes, they are all a place to call “home.” 

Single-family homes: Standalone houses are usually situated on their own piece of land. These dwellings are popular with families, people who enjoy recreation and entertaining in their yards, and people who value privacy. 

Condos: Condominiums are popular with seniors and professionals who are too busy to deal with yard work or exterior maintenance on their homes. They are individually owned units, but are part of a larger building. Condos share walls with other units. There are typically shared common areas such as clubhouses and pools. A homeowners association (HOA) is responsible for maintaining the grounds, hallways, shared areas, and exteriors of the building. Residents pay dues, usually monthly, for this service. 

Townhouses: Sometimes townhouses are called “row houses,” and like condos, they share walls with other units. The units usually have 2 or 3 floors and so take up little ground space. These residences are especially popular with young, busy professionals who don’t want the responsibility of a house and yard. 

Duplex/triplex/quadplex: These multi-family homes provide privacy with separate units and exterior doors within a house. Like condos, they share walls, but also sometimes floors and ceilings, which has the benefit of keeping down utility bills. They’re sometimes owned by extended families who want privacy but wish to live close. Smaller investors often own them as well.
