When it comes to News Years Eve, St. Louis has an embarrassment of riches for its citizens. There are hundreds of ways for you to enjoy yourself on one of the biggest days of the year no matter what kind of person you are. To help narrow down your search for New Year’s entertainment we’ve assembled a list of the best three News Year Eve events in the St. Louis area.Whether you’re the laid-back type or an energetic party animal there is something for you on this list. So, let’s get to it!

1. 20 Sweet 16 – New Year’s Eve Retro Dance Party –  No New Years Eve is complete without some raucous dancing. Luckily, you can find that and much more at the Corner Gates located in the Cherokee Historic District. Tickets start at $95.94, which may seem steep, but not when you consider they offer you all-you-can-drink alcohol, all-you-can-eat “Gourmet Burger & French Fry Bar; Retro Party Snacks & Boss Eats; Milkshakes & Sweet Treats”, valet parking, photos, and party favors. As for the music, a live swing band will be performing  followed by a DJ playing dance hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond.

2. Noon Time New Years Eve – Parents should make thanking the St. Louis Children’s Museum’s Magic House their New Years resolution after they attend this fantastic event. Among the festivities offered are arts and crafts, a rocking dance floor with photo both and New Years accessories, as well as a countdown to noon (instead of midnight) throughout the Museum. Children are bound to have such a great time at this New Years extravaganza that they’ll require a nap or an early bed time, paving the way for their parents to go out on the town in the evening.  Now that’s a happy New Year!

3. Bissell Mansion Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre – For those that would like a more relaxed New Years celebration, check out the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre. This unique and exciting event involves watching and even participating in an interactive murder mystery performance while enjoying a delicious four course dinner. Things get even more exciting when you consider the possibility that someone sitting at your table might be the culprit. You decide beforehand just how much you would like to participate in the performance, so if you’d like you can just sit back and pig out while the drama unfurls.

Honorable Mention: A few other great events caught our eye. Try checking out Rock-N-Roll New Year’s Eve at Lemp’s Grand Hall,  New Year’s Eve Cruise at the Gateway Arch, and the Ultimate New Year’s Eve Party at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch.
